Marine Case Study - Vessel “Glas Dowr”

Johnson Controls was awarded the contract to provide fire and safety systems for the FPSO vessel “Glas Dowr” by the vessel’s operator, Bluewater for use in the Amerada Hess Durward and Dauntless fields.

Johnson Controls supplied and commissioned a combined Fire and Gas, and Emergency Shut Down system utilising Triconex-based equipment with stand-alone mimics. In addition, a TUV-approved HIPS system was also provided. The F and G and ESD system interfaced directly with a Fisher Rosemount DCS system for display, monitoring and override/inhibit operation.
